Before founding ExodusPoint in 2018, Gelband spent over a decade at Millennium Management, where he was one of the firm's top traders specialising in fixed income and macro strategies. Prior to Millennium, he headed the fixed income division at Lehman Brothers, departing in 2007 — a year before the firm's collapse — after warning management about the firm's excessive risk-taking.
ExodusPoint launched with approximately $8 billion, one of the largest hedge fund launches in history. The firm employs a multi-strategy platform model similar to Millennium, with dozens of independent trading teams. ExodusPoint has delivered steady returns with low volatility since inception.
