David Abrams

David Abrams is the founder and managing member of Abrams Capital Management, a concentrated value-oriented hedge fund managing approximately $10 billion in assets.

Abrams graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and worked at Baupost Group under Seth Klarman before founding Abrams Capital in 1999. His investment philosophy closely mirrors the value investing principles he learned at Baupost — patient, concentrated investing in undervalued securities with large margins of safety.

Abrams Capital typically holds a concentrated portfolio of 10-15 positions, investing across equities, distressed debt, and real estate. The fund has generated strong long-term returns with relatively low turnover. Abrams is notably private and rarely appears in the media.
