Daniel Sundheim is the founder and chief investment officer of D1 Capital Partners, a long/short equity hedge fund managing approximately $12 billion in assets. Sundheim rapidly became one of the most prominent new fund managers of his generation.
Before founding D1 in 2018, Sundheim was the chief investment officer of Viking Global Investors under Andreas Halvorsen, where he played a central role in managing the firm's portfolio. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
