Paul Tudor Jones II is the founder of Tudor Investment Corp, one of the longest-running macro hedge funds in the world. Jones is widely regarded as one of the greatest macro traders in history, with a career spanning over 40 years.
Jones grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, graduated from the University of Virginia, and began his career as a commodities trader. He famously predicted and profited from the 1987 Black Monday crash, reportedly tripling his money as the market collapsed β a trade that became legendary through the documentary "Trader" (which Jones later tried to suppress).
Tudor Investment Corp has managed as much as $38 billion and currently manages approximately $12 billion. Jones has generated estimated lifetime net gains exceeding $20 billion. Beyond trading, he founded the Robin Hood Foundation in 1988, one of New York's most successful poverty-fighting organisations. His net worth is estimated at $8.1 billion.
