Mark Minervini is an American stock trader, author, and two-time US Investing Championship (USIC) winner. He achieved a verified +334.8% return in the 1997 USIC and has been one of the most influential figures in competition stock trading for over two decades.
Minervini grew up in a working-class family and was largely self-taught as a trader. He developed his "SEPA" (Specific Entry Point Analysis) methodology, which focuses on buying stocks showing specific technical and fundamental characteristics at precise entry points. His approach was influenced by the work of William O'Neil and the CANSLIM methodology.
He is the author of several bestselling trading books including "Trade Like a Stock Market Wizard" (2013), "Think & Trade Like a Champion" (2017), and "Mindset Secrets for Winning" (2021). Minervini also runs the Minervini Private Access platform, providing education and real-time trade alerts. He returned to the USIC in 2021 and continues to compete.
